Sunrider
Sunrider, a global wellness brand known for the purity of its unprocessed food and beverage offerings, has grown steadily since its 1982 founding. Sunrider continues to expand its U.S. real estate footprint, most recently in Plano, Texas, where the company engaged OTJ Architects to reimagine the ground floor of their newly acquired office building.
Developed in close partnership with client stakeholders and the project manager, our design concept consolidates a previously fragmented suite of smaller spaces into a cohesive, amenity-forward environment that doubles collaboration opportunities for a growing workforce and enhances the visitor experience. Upon entry, guests and staff are greeted by a double-height arrival lounge anchored by a bold sculptural chandelier and organically shaped seating. The adjacent reception area features a ceiling fixture that simulates daylight and a preserved moss wall inspired by the company’s logo.
A central corridor seamlessly guides occupants along the window line, past private offices, and into open collaboration areas and lounges. The journey culminates in a spacious communal lounge at the rear, anchored by a work café with a custom coffee bar. Here, sweeping views of a tranquil creek provide a serene backdrop for informal meetings, relaxation, and social connection, while nearby conference rooms enjoy direct access to the café. Along the way, programmatic solutions—expanded communal zones, refreshed kitchens and reception areas, and flexible meeting rooms—create a harmonious balance of focus, collaboration, and hospitality.
The design blends contemporary organic gestures and materials with Scandinavian influences to convey warmth and a connection to nature. Finishes include soft textures, symmetrical forms, and biophilic elements that reinforce Sunrider’s brand identity. Sustainable design principles were incorporated throughout, establishing a foundation for future phases of Sunrider’s workplace transformation.
