OTJ Welcomes Govt. Sector Design Leader Wendy Conty

OTJ is pleased to announce that Wendy Conty has joined our team as Senior Associate and Senior Designer. A seasoned industry leader and strategist with nearly three decades of experience and over 13 years in federal service, Wendy brings a deep bench of workplace expertise acquired through the management of a portfolio that spans more than 92 million rentable square feet across 600+ government-owned and leased facilities.

Wendy’s experience with agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and the Department of the Interior demonstrates a nuanced understanding of workplace strategy, scale, and mission-driven design in highly complex environments.

Her robust portfolio of work is rooted in the development of holistic workplace solutions that align the physical space with organizational objectives. While partnering with the Center for Workplace Strategy, she has leveraged the built environment’s capacity to positively impact organizational culture, team members, and operations across projects that include the Workplace Innovation Lab (WIL), Furniture & IT(FIT) program, Workplace Information Modeling (WIFM) tools, Federal Coworking, and National Workplace Engagements.

In joining OTJ, I look forward to expanding the reach of my federal work. OTJ’s team approaches design as a tool for meaningful, long-term change and, like me, the firm understands how the built environment can shape organizational success.

Additionally, her broad client base, which includes the U.S. Courts, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and Georgetown University, demonstrates multi-sector agility brought to bear on the development of forward-thinking solutions. These interventions help federal and private institutions alike respond to operational change, evolving modalities, and long-term administrative needs. Her ability to bridge vision and project delivery, combined with targeted expertise in FF&E planning, ensures that the organizations she partners with receive comprehensive, scalable, and high-performing work environments.

Wendy’s addition to our firm further enhances OTJ’s capacity to deliver public sector work with clarity, precision, and purpose. Laura Kennington, LEED AP, President and Co-CEO of OTJ, shares: “Wendy’s demonstrated history of success providing thoughtful leadership, strategic foresight, and design excellence makes her a natural fit for our team. Her ability to guide complex projects with clarity and purpose strengthens our practice and supports our broader vision to provide human-centered solutions.”
