Anheuser-Busch

America’s beer industry leader, Anheuser-Busch, retained OTJ Architects to design and deliver an experiential new government affairs workplace that celebrates the company’s 165-year heritage while accelerating its 21st century objectives.

Our team seized on the Anheuser-Busch’s relocation to the capital’s central business district and developed resolutely contemporary design solutions that showcase the breadth, history, relevance, and vibrancy of the Anheuser-Busch brand. Anchored by a circular bar complete with a rotating selection of brews, the multi-purpose space combines traditional brick and brass elements with steel-beams and hospitality inspired furnishings. Brand-specific design gestures include beech wood ceilings that nod to Budweiser aging barrels and lacquered panels that echo the green jackets of the Clydesdale Hitch drivers

Complete with a state-of-the-art test kitchen, customizable LED lighting, and advanced telecommuting technology, the Anheuser-Busch space also serves to connect staff from over one hundred facilities worldwide in an environment that facilitates communication around shared problem-sets. Additional programmatic elements include rapidly reconfigurable conference rooms with demountable glass partitions that allow for maximum daylight penetration as well as a fully open benching system that accommodates surges and contractions in staff numbers.
