OTJ is now 100% Employee Owned!
OTJ Architects is pleased to announce that we are now 100% employee owned.
An entrepreneurial mindset and a distinct focus on people are at the heart of our continued growth. To further underscore this commitment to our team members and our Core Value of Partnership, OTJ has transitioned from a privately held structure to an Employee-Owned Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
This apportioned ownership structure presents many benefits to our team members and affords individuals an equitable opportunity to share in the rewards of their hard work. In addition, ESOPs are proven to be a sustainable business model even in the face of economic downturns or environmental crises. The shift to an ESOP model also allows for our firm’s ownership to transition over time, rather than place a costly burden on a next generation of leadership, thereby preserving our legacy and the integrity of our teams.
Lance Jaccard, Senior Principal and Chief Executive Officer, remarks: “An incentivized team is driven to succeed. We have always believed that it is imperative for all members of the OTJ family to share fully in the rewards of our firm’s growth. The transition to an ESOP model was a clear choice as we look to the future.” While our firm’s leadership structure will remain the same, the shift to an ESOP will safeguard the interests of our clients by ensuring the fiscal probity of our organization as well as continuity of services across accounts both recent and decades-long.
